North Saanich Online (NSO) is a not-for-profit webzine with a focus on all things North Saanich (having said that we do on occasion look over the back-yard fence to see what’s going on with our neighbours).

NSO is sustained by the creative energies of local residents. Some of us have lived here for a while, and others recently landed.  But all of us share a deep affinity for this place we call home.

We appreciate that we live close to the water, can still see the night sky, have hedgerows rather than side-walks, have the capacity and climate to grow our own food, and have neighbours who are civic-minded (North Saanich has one of the highest municipal voting rates in the country). 

Our mandate is to cover news about the place, people and politics that are North Saanich, and to foster positive and constructive dialogue.   We hope to hear from you, and invite input and opinion.  As custodians of NSO we retain the right not to publish everything that comes to our inbox.
